What Is Your Pricing?

Pricing depends on services provided and website complexity. It may be a project-based flat fee or hourly rate, or a mix of both. We provide an initial free consultation/review of your brief to understand how best we can work together. Then, if it seems we’re a great fit, we’ll provide a proposal with all details.

Will you provide content or am I responsible?

To make your website truly successful, collaboration with you or your team is of the utmost importance, and we’ll require the majority of content from you in order to make your website stand out. However, we’re always happy to recommend a content strategy and revise content, and this may be an additional fee.

How do you choose third-party platforms?

There are various factors we look for in web hosting, domain providers, and third-party platforms. We look for pricing, performance, security, support, privacy requirements, features included, and a user friendly onboarding process. How does Website Maintenance work?

To save you time, efficiency, and ensure security with your website, we would love to offer Website Maintenance services post project. These tasks which include, but are not limited to: Content updates and changes, WordPress plugin (free and/or paid) and back-end updates, Analytics reporting, Security, speed enhancements and optimizations, Management of third-party accounts, etc. We strongly recommend our services to provide you with peace of mind, and continue seeing your success of your website!

P.S. There are third-party paid subscriptions required for maintaining your website and included in our fees. You will be notified if additional fees are required.

Will I own the website after project completion?

Yes, we strongly believe in clients having full ownership of their websites, domains, and accounts associated. We would be an admin/manager on all third-party provider accounts with you, for example, GoDaddy, for domains, and Hostinger, for web hosting services, and Google webmaster tools. We do not host your website(s) directly.

You are fully responsible for ensuring payments are made successfully on the platforms in question and credit card details are up to date in your appropriate accounts. We make our best efforts to educate and inform you if there are any issues we see, such as a missed payment.

Regarding Google webmaster tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile, we integrate and manage all that for you, however we provide complete administrator access upon request or when not continuing with maintenance or the project after completion.

What SEO work do you provide?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is crucial to your success as a business on the web. It involves an exhaustive list of best practices and techniques, a long-term perspective, and effort required by you off-site and our company. We employ the latest technical SEO strategies for your website and provide recommendations for you, however there are no guarantees any specific strategy or optimization will be perfect nor make your website rank higher in search engines.

Will my website be accessible?

We work with clients that only are required to meet WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) in accordance with the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act), when they hit certain thresholds. These thresholds may change, but currently it applies if you have 50 or more employees within your business or nonprofit organization. Many of our clients are not within these thresholds, however we always keep accessibility in mind for websites, as it greatly benefits the user experience when visiting a website, and also improves SEO. We aim to hit for many of the compliance requirements, regardless of you being required or not.

P.S. If you are legally required by AODA or another legislation outside of Ontario, Canada, we can discuss options to ensure that you do meet full compliance.

Do you use AI in your work?

AI tools and experiences are new and exciting, and we are learning to potentially use them in our workflow, understand their impacts, using the tools to brainstorm ideas, etc., however we currently do not use AI directly in our client website work. We will be upfront with you if these tools are potentially used or are being used to our knowledge. However, we publish blog posts for some clients that were created based on the audio of a presentation in-person and were enhanced into a presentation style written blog post or enhanced from their own content with an AI tool. All content are verified for accuracy by the appropriate parties before going live.

We encourage you and/or your team to write as much content as possible in your own words with thorough research. Be aware that using AI tools to upload content/images into, may be used for any purpose by the tool or company in question, and can even potentially be used for data mining (TDM) activities and shared publicly on the internet.

Regarding images or media for your website, we encourage the use of your own, royalty-free, or paid images/media, that allow for unrestricted commercial use.

How do I have an email with my business name?

Having an email with your business domain name, such as johndoe@mybusiness.com, is a great addition for your brand and website. We can walk you through the process of purchasing an email on Google Business or Microsoft 365 and verify and authenticate with your domain.

How do you handle sensitive / personal information ?

Please see our Privacy Policy. We keep up to date on the latest requirements in accordance with PIPEDA (The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), the federal legislation in Canada, to the best of our ability. For your website, we provide a templated version of a privacy policy, however we recommend hiring a lawyer or legal professional to review before implementation. If you require further policies such as a Terms of Use or Terms of Conditions, we do not offer the writing of those policies and recommend a lawyer or legal professional to review if necessary.
